First Steps
Podiatrists generally recommend that first shoes are not fitted until the child has been walking confidently for 6 -8 weeks, and we would endorse that.
However, if the child is walking around the furniture or at the playground, for example, and you feel that he or she may benefit from extra protection, then you may want to get a 'pre-walker' shoe.
A soft flexible product is key to prevent possible long-term damage to your child's feet, and our trained fitters take every care to ensure that your child's first shoe is the right fit. Brands stocked include I-Walk, Kickers, Hush Puppies, Pediped, Garvalin, Bo Bell and Richter.
